Elaine had been caring for her mother for over a decade before her passing in 2018. Since then, she has been in a prolonged and draining legal battle with her siblings over the estate. With no clear estate plan, tensions rose as Elaine insisted her mother had promised her the house, while her siblings disagreed. Frequent changes in her legal team became an issue as Elaine kept firing her lawyers, leaving her feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed by the endless paperwork and mounting expenses.

I developed a structured plan for Elaine, organizing her documents, coordinating her advisors, and finding her both spiritual and medical support. I also created a system to guide her through the planning process while preparing her for a new living situation outside the contested home.

Shannon is the principal of a therapeutic boarding school for neurodivergent teens, where they not only support the students but also run a year-round program for their families. Parents often feel helpless and overwhelmed, needing guidance and practical resources to support their children’s growth alongside the school’s efforts. Shannon brought me in to enhance their family support strategy and provide parents with tools to feel more confident and informed.

I conducted in-depth meetings with parents, learning about their unique needs and gathering input from students and teachers. Many of the parents were highly successful professionals who had little time for their families and felt helpless with their special needs kids, so I curated valuable resources and crafted a targeted support plan for the school to work with.

The results? With an updated strategic plan in place, the school was able to offer parents a more robust program that had solid structure in how it addressed both student and family needs, helping everyone feel more connected and empowered throughout the year.
