Proud to be on site for the re-opening of the Brooklyn Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library a space that continues to serve as a cornerstone for learning, access, and community in Baltimore.
As part of the State of Maryland’s IDIQ program, RIFE International is delivering HVAC replacement and energy efficiency upgrades across six Enoch Pratt Free Library locations, including the Brooklyn Branch. Our work includes upgrading aging boilers and chillers with energy-efficient HVAC systems, including state-of-the-art Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) heat pump systems, helping reduce the Library’s greenhouse gas emissions while improving comfort and reliability in active public facilities.
Ahead of the reopening, ensuring safe, even heating throughout the building was critical especially in a space welcoming families and children. Seeing the library warm, operational, and full of life on opening day was a meaningful milestone for our team.
This multi-site effort supports the City of Baltimore Department of General Services and aligns with Mayor Brandon M. Scott’s initiative, including the $11.7 million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) investment awarded to the Enoch Pratt Free Library to modernize HVAC systems and advance digital equity at prioritized City libraries.
Grateful for the collaboration with City partners, ESCO partners, project teams, and library staff who make these spaces thrive. We’re proud to help deliver public infrastructure that performs today and for the future.
