✨ Ever wonder how a dream becomes a thriving bakery?
We’re so excited that Victoria Gilson Torres is hosting our mixer on the 19th! Before we gather, we wanted to introduce you to the woman behind the business. Meet Victoria and discover the story, passion, and inspiration that brought this incredible bakery to life. 🧁💙
“I am in awe of what the bakery has become, and am so humbled to call it mine. I would bring cupcakes and baked treats to my workplaces throughout the years. Took a chance a few years back by licensing my home kitchen, and setting up bakery stand after I moved to S**o. “Bakery stand” makes it sound posh - it was a small red igloo cooler on my doorstep with prices and ingredients written on index cards. I would load up my cooler before/after work, then slowly started taking custom orders as time allowed. I had a baby at home , another in school, and was working in the healthcare industry. One evening, a friend showed up with a homemade bakery stand - she “felt called to build one for me.” It matched the design I had daydreamed about, and was totally unexpected! That faith-fueled act of kindness helped me make the pivot from baking as a hobby to making it a full-time small business. Came across the leased space on Main Street , which I hadn’t been looking for at the time. When there’s a plan for your life, you can’t hide from it. The rest is history! My primary focus is custom orders, and the bakery case is stocked Tuesdays-Fridays for walk-in customers. I host monthly events during the winter , including coffee house nights and paint n’ sip events. We frequent the local vendor fairs, and try to give back to the community anytime possible. A little piece of my family’s heart and legacy is in every baked good that leaves our bakery. Thank you for being part of our story!”
