INDEFENDENCE DAY FEST 2027
Freedom Fest is officially becoming Indefendence Day Fest.
Over the past year, the vision for this event has continued to grow alongside the community around it. The name Indefendence comes from the reason I continue putting time into building these spaces in the first place:
In defense of the freedom to create, express and belong.
For July 2027, I’m opening submissions early and inviting the community to help shape what the weekend becomes. I’m looking for bands, solo artists, DJs, vendors, makers, photographers, nonprofits, community organizations, venues, local businesses, sponsors, media, volunteers, speakers, educators and people interested in hosting workshops or sharing resources.
One of my biggest goals with FAM has always been connection. There are talented people all across Montana creating, organizing, teaching and building their own corners of our creative community. Giving those people opportunities to meet each other, work together and share what they’re doing is something I want to continue making space for.
There is plenty of time between now and July to develop new ideas, partnerships and opportunities for the weekend, so I’m interested in hearing from anyone who sees a way they could contribute! If you aren’t sure where you fit, the submission form has a space for that too.
