What a Shirt That Wouldn't Stay Tucked Taught Me About Uniforms

A while back I came across the concept of enclothed cognition, the idea that clothing can influence how we think, feel, and perform.

Recently, our team worked a couple of trade shows and wore matching shirts to present a professional, unified look.

There was just one problem: the shirts kept coming untucked.

Throughout the day, we found ourselves constantly adjusting them, re-tucking them, and making sure we still looked presentable. It seemed like a small issue, but it became a distraction from what we were actually there to do, engage with customers and represent our brand.

It reminded me that uniforms aren't just about appearance. They affect the people wearing them.

When a uniform is comfortable, fits properly, and makes someone feel confident, they can focus on their job instead of their clothing.

That's why we put so much emphasis on wear testing and employee feedback. The goal isn't to create a uniform people have to wear.

It's to create a uniform people want to wear.

Think about your favorite t-shirt or polo. You probably feel a little different when you put it on.

Now imagine if your team's uniform felt that way.
That's when a uniform becomes more than apparel, it becomes part of the culture.

We are proud to announce the promotion of Sarah to Customer Service Representative for Container Decorating!

Sarah joined TeamWorld in November 2024 as a Line Lead in Container Decorating and quickly proved herself to be a valuable member of the team. She rapidly learned the operation and expanded her knowledge by training in multiple areas.

Sarah’s dedication, willingness to learn, and commitment to supporting both her teammates and our customers make her an excellent addition to the department. Her experience will help strengthen communication between teams and further enhance the support we provide to our customers.
