Do you know what percentage of your followers actually see your content?
The answer is only 10%! 🤯
Now, the most important question is .. who’s in that 10%? It’s important to understand who your followers are and IF they are active on their account. 🤔
Some people are ghost followers, meaning they love being on social media to see other content as far as their interests or even find what you’re posting is interesting, but they don’t engage much. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing since studies show that word-of-mouth is the highest form of driving sales!
The ones you need to pay attention to are followers who possibly have a new account and don’t use the account that’s following you anymore. You also could have accounts that are spam or a random content account that is not very beneficial to be following you.
Example, yesterday I had a random men’s account follow me that was just pictures of random male models. I choose to REMOVE these accounts from my followers. Does that mean I can potentially not achieve a “high following” as quick as other accounts? Absolutely. But remember, it is not about how many are following you, rather than WHO.
Tonight, as you’re scrolling through social media, take the time to check your following list and possibly remove any accounts that you think could not be benefiting from your content for your business. These fake accounts are clouding the 10% and are what is stopping your new potential customers or clients from seeing your content!
