Recently, I had the chance to catch up with an old friend of mine, Mike Brown.
If you know Mike, then you already know. He is one of those people who walks into a room with bright energy, a positive spirit, and a genuine passion for helping people grow.
Mike reached out because he was looking for a space to host a session for the Principal Learning Center, where he continues to pour into teachers and school leaders across the Southeast. And eventually the nation. I’m speaking that part into existence for you, Mike.
What I appreciate most about Mike is that his impact goes far beyond the people sitting in his trainings. He inspires people like me too. People in the community. Friends. Colleagues. Anyone who gets a chance to see how seriously he takes the work while still staying true to who he is.
Mike, thank you for being consistent. Thank you for the advice over the years. Thank you for being like a big brother to me and always being willing to share what you know.
I am still mad that you are selfish with your wife’s cakes because I have only had ONE. We need to revisit that. 😂
But seriously, watching your growth on top of everything you have already accomplished in education has been amazing. I am proud of you, and I am excited to see what comes next.
Also, thank you for the logo light box idea. You are definitely a communications leader in my book. Kangaroo Willie has officially been tasked with creating one for me, so stay tuned. 👀
It was good catching up, my friend. See you soon.
And if you are not already following Mike’s journey here on LinkedIn, you should be.
