Last fall I got a call from a rancher outside of town.

He told me the same thing I hear a lot from people with land and livestock.

"I just want to know what's going on when I'm not there."

Between calving season, equipment, fuel tanks, and long driveways, it can be hard to keep an eye on everything.

We ended up setting him up with a simple camera system covering the calving area, his shop, and the approach to the property. Nothing fancy, just clear cameras that he can pull up on his phone anytime.

A few weeks later he told me something that stuck with me.

He said the best part wasn’t catching anything bad, it was just the peace of mind knowing he could check in whenever he wanted.

Sometimes security isn't about stopping crime.

Out here, calving season means long nights, cold mornings, and checking on the herd more times than you can count. 🐄❄️

One of the things we’ve been able to help ranchers with lately is setting up cameras in barns and calving areas so they can keep an eye on their cattle without having to run outside every hour. Being able to check your phone from the house or pickup can make those late nights a little easier and help you catch when a cow needs attention.

Technology will never replace the hard work ranchers put in, but if it can give you a little more visibility and peace of mind during calving season, that’s a win in our book.
