Spring moisture can either help your driveway — or tear it apart.
After a wet snowstorm, mountain driveways start showing their weak spots: ruts, potholes, washouts, soft areas, washboarding, and drainage issues.
Moisture is not automatically a bad thing for driveway work. When the drainage is handled correctly and the gravel is shaped right, a little moisture can help with compaction, finishing, dust control, and getting the material to bed together.
The real problem is uncontrolled runoff.
Rolling Stone LLC helps mountain property owners with driveway access restoration, gravel repair, drainage support, culvert work, storm cleanup, and practical excavation.
A few photos or a short driveway video are usually the best place to start.
