I said I’d be 100% real here, so here we go.

This page may be about banners, but it’s also about real fu***ng life.

You can do everything “right” and still have a child who struggles with mental health.

You can be a damn good parent and still have a struggling child.

Their diagnosis is not proof that you failed them.

I have a child with a personality disorder, and for almost four years, her mental health consumed nearly every part of me.

Doctors. Therapists. Psychiatrists. ERs. Hospitals. Treatment centers. Insurance battles.

So. Many. Fu***ng. Phone calls.

I fought for answers. Spent money I didn’t have. Lost jobs, friendships and pieces of my marriage.

Somewhere in the middle of fighting for my child, I lost myself.

I stopped living and started surviving.

And I convinced myself that if she was struggling this badly, I must have failed her.

It took me almost four years to understand:

Her mental illness is not my parenting report card.

Am I perfect? Absolutely fu***ng not. 😂 My kids could probably leave me a Yelp review and I’d beg them to keep it private.

But did I fight for my child?

Every. Single. Time.

My daughter can struggle deeply with her mental health AND I can still be a good mother.

And maybe another mom needs to hear this:

Another ER? Me too.

A camera roll full of treatment centers and resources? Me too.

Trying to work through crisis after crisis? Me too.

People disappearing because your life became “too much”?

Me fu***ng too.

If you fought so hard for your child that you stopped recognizing yourself, I see you.

But our story doesn’t fu***ng end here.

I’m finding myself again.

I’m learning to laugh. Have fun. Build my business. Love my other children. Love myself. Have a life outside of crisis management.

You’re allowed to fall apart.

You just can’t fu***ng live there.

So maybe this becomes part of my corner of the internet too.

We’ll paint banners, drink too much caffeine, cry in the car, say “what the actual f**k” and figure out how to find ourselves again. 🩷
