NEXT WEDNESDAY, THAT ROOM IS AT SIXTY VINES.

On September 9, we're bringing together people from across business lending, commercial finance and fintech for Capital After Hours.

At 8:20 PM, the first NFL game of the season goes on, a rematch of the Super Bowl, and the night doesn't stop.
We're there until 9:30 PM.

THE LAST-MINUTE RUSH IS COMING.
We see it with almost every event. People wait.
They check their calendars. They ask who else is going. They tell themselves they'll grab a ticket later.

Then the final few days arrive and everybody seems to make that decision at once.
Tickets are already selling, and capacity at Sixty Vines is limited.

Most importantly: We will NOT be selling tickets at the door.

If you're planning to come, don't make September 9 the day you try to get in.

Texas HB 700 is the compliance signal sales-based financing teams cannot ignore. The post “Texas Tightens Sales-Based Financing Rules Under HB 700” breaks down the operational changes providers and brokers must handle now. ⚖️ NMLS registration required for providers and brokers by Dec 31, 2026 (rules effective July 9, 2026). 📌 Written disclosures must be provided at or before a specific offer; clerical corrections do not erase violations. 🛡️ Automatic debits are limited to providers with a valid, perfected first‑priority security interest (UCC‑1); post‑dated checks and third‑party debits can’t be used to sidestep the rule. The rules target stacking, demand stronger disclosure controls, and prohibit unfair or deceptive practices-expect work on registration, offer workflows, UCC filings, and debit procedures. Read the full breakdown and prepare teams: https://wix.to/Kewf535 Which change will have the biggest operational impact for brokers and lenders?

Texas HB 700 rules bring NMLS registration, stricter disclosures and debit limits to sales-based financing, impacting MCA and RBF providers.

Capital After Hours is coming up Wednesday, September 9, and if you’ve been telling yourself you need to get out more, meet more people, build new relationships or reconnect with people you haven’t seen in a while… here’s your opportunity.

We’re taking over Sixty Vines on Las Olas from 6:30–9:30 PM.

No panels. No presentations. No awkward conference agenda.

Just three hours to grab a drink, enjoy some quality food and spend time with people from business lending, commercial finance, fintech and the broader South Florida business community.

And at 8:20 PM, the first NFL game of the season goes on. So networking gradually turns into drinks, football and more conversation through 9:30.

We’ve already got a great group coming together, tickets have been moving, and we know from our previous events that a lot of people wait until the last few days.

Just remember one important detail:

Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

$1.8 million in COVID EIDL money. But that wasn’t where the story started.

New Jersey real estate investor Arthur Spitzer has pleaded guilty in a case involving fraudulent EIDL loans, money laundering, and a separate mortgage fraud scheme that prosecutors say was already underway before the pandemic.

That’s what makes this one different from the typical COVID fraud case.

The pandemic relief money didn’t create the broader scheme. It became another source of capital inside it.

Spitzer has agreed to at least $1.845 million in SBA restitution and $2.35 million in forfeiture, with sentencing scheduled for December.

The full story, including the real estate connection and how the EIDL money allegedly moved, is on FunderIntel.com.

Do You Need a License to Broker Business Loans? A 2026 State-by-State Guide - a practical compliance map for brokers expanding with confidence. It outlines when state licenses, registrations, bonds, filings, or conduct rules can apply and where brokers need to act now. Texas has near-term deadlines (NMLS applications begin Sept 1, 2026; registration due Dec 31, 2026), and the guide also details rules in Virginia, Connecticut, Missouri, North Dakota, California, Florida, North Carolina, Nebraska, Illinois, and Vermont (effective July 1, 2027). Use it to spot blind spots before you submit or collect fees. Read the full state-by-state guide and plan next steps: https://wix.to/I7l0REd. Which state is on your expansion list? Share below. 🗺️📌⏳

We’re getting close.
On Wednesday, September 9, Capital After Hours returns to Fort Lauderdale for three hours at Sixty Vines on Las Olas, and we have a great group of companies helping us make the night happen.

One thing we especially appreciate about this lineup: these aren’t companies supporting a Funder Intel event for the first time. Each has been involved with us before, and we’re excited to have them back.
Here’s a closer look at the companies supporting Capital After Hours.

Get your tickets today while they last.
