Many employers ask if they need a Premium Only Plan (POP) and here are some reasons to consider:

1.) Employee tax savings. Allowing pre-tax premium payment reduces the taxable amount to the employee thus saving costs to your employee and generally increased take home pay.

2.) Reduces payroll tax. For every dollar of employee contribution in the POP, employers can save up to 7.65% F**A Taxes.

3.) If you want (or currently are) to allow employees to pay for benefits on a pre-tax basis you need a Section 125 plan (including a POP)
