After spending six amazing years in England, we've finally relocated to Boise, Idaho and are completely head-over-heels! I've been blessed beyond belief with the best clients our area (wait, wait, wait.... the world!) has to offer. I'm a true lifetime photographer, and I've grown up with as many clients as the military has allowed me to. I've shot weddings, bumps, newborns, milestones, and family

portraits for many families across the globe. And I'm also going on record to say that I've had a few bo***ir sessions that may have jump-started it all! If you want a fun session filled with sarcasm, dinosaur noises, too many favorites to choose from, and not too many rules, I'm your girl.

I feel like I preface any cake smash sneaks by saying that I retired from cake smashes at the end of 2019 😂 BUT, I do make special exceptions for legacy clients that I love and littles that I've watched grow up since capturing their newborn photos.

If you can believe it, I sold a large majority of my newborn/cake smash props before and after we got to Idaho, but luckily I'm still a hoarder and couldn't get rid of the unique finds and pieces close to my heart.

My favorite part of doing cake smashes was designing custom sets for every session while putting all of my hoarding/thrifting finds to use. Some things never change! I held on to juuuust enough to make create this custom set around the dresses Mom showed me.

I'm obsessed with how it turned out and even more obsessed to see how great Mom was at making Baby V giggle😍

Only 12 hours left to vote for Happy Hour Beauty and Bo***ir in the "Portrait Photographer" category (under Services).

I definitely didn't post these babies NEARLY enough, but with Dave coming home in the middle of the voting period and just one day before a big studio event, I may have gotten slightly distracted, lol.

Today is the last day for Idaho residents to get their votes and Google reviews in to help the nominees!

If you've already voted, the hard part is done! You only need to vote once per category--You can submit multiple ballots if you've already submitted one. Just know that only your most recent vote in every category is the one that counts.

I know I have a HUGE long-distance base, and in that case the smallest action of bumping this post and any you see goes MILES. I've been grounded by meta since 2022, which means only the posts that people interact with get shown (like regular social media algorithm stuff, but with more suppression because they didn't like my sarcasm or any snakes on butts--You read that right😂).

It’s the biggest honor and we are so grateful when there are huuundreds upon hundreds of talented photographers here. It is also SO hard to win as an active duty Air Force family because ONLY Idaho-based votes count and so many clients, friends, and family members live everywhere except Idaho 😂. Idaho’s Best voting is LIVE, and Beckett has one very important assignment: convincing your humans to vote for her human. Beckett worked REALLY hard (like… reeeaaaallllllllyyyyy hard) on these campaign photos and is fully prepared to deploy her best Sarah McLachlan eyes if necessary 😂

Attentionnnn!! This is not a drill! Bump this like it's a volleyball!

I’m beyond honored and excited that we're nominated for Idaho's Best in the "Portrait Photographer" category for a FIFTH year! They only choose three businesses from each region for the voting round, so this is HUGE.

And in the era when posts are being suppressed, here are easy ways to help HHBB advance and win!

From now until February 26th, Idaho residents can vote for their favorite businesses across tons of categories. I highly encourage you to check them out—there are so many incredible small businesses that deserve recognition! And of course, I’d love for Happy Hour Beauty and Bo***ir to be one of your votes.

Here’s the deal: You only need to vote once—none of that daily voting nonsense. But I’m at a major disadvantage. While I’m lucky to shoot all over the world, this competition registers Idaho votes only. That means I’m counting on my Idaho people to come through in a BIG way for this first round. ✨✨ Giveaway Time!! ✨✨

It feels like a lifetime ago since fall retreat in Stanley where I shot this quick roadside image, but I can finally see the light! No literally, on Monday I get to crawl out from behind my blackout shades and back into sunlight, lol.

That means all 67 jet mini galleries have been delivered--Most of them are anything but mini, lol. If you can't find your gallery in your inbox, reach out to me and I can resend it. If you've requested edits to your images and haven't gotten those yet, don't worry, they're in my queue! I'll be building the collages of my favs for the rest of the families that gave me sharing permissions once all of my main editing is caught up.

The Small Business Saturday collab with Cristina Drake x Jennie's Boutique x Mrs. Claus: I'm working on those now! That gallery will be emailed out to everyone registered on it when it's finished tonight. I didn't ask for sharing permissions for this event so I *won't* be sharing those on here. You're more than welcome to share your images after you download them though!

Holiday Minis: I'm alllllmooooost done! I have three families left to edit, and you'll have those galleries no later than midnight tomorrow.

Looking at numbers from time to time is my favorite way to track my progress when it all turns into such a blur and really get a feel for the magnitude of effort that goes into a full time photography career.

The total number of images I've delivered since October 31st is actually insane.

I kind of want to turn it into a guessing game for funsies, so whoever gets closest to the number of images I've delivered to this very minute since October 31st will win an 8x12 print of this image OR you can choose one from a session that you've done with me.

Annnnnd that's 48 hours of no sleep and counting! Not that I'm entirely proud of that, but it's what's necessary at this point to stay on track with all of the deadlines and things happening this weekend, lol.

Photographer friends, I know you feel me. How're y'all holding up? I made this double gif real quick after I saw myself in the mirror today. 100% looking like I got punched in both eyes. I have a feeling several of you can relate. We're on the downhill side though!

Just to update everyone:

Jet minis--I only have FIVE jet mini sessions left from 11/16 to edit and then I'm all doooone! You guys will for sure be getting your galleries today.

Bo***ir clients--I'll have your galleries and book proofs to you later this weekend. I've been bouncing back and forth and need to put finishing touches on all of the images + get books designed.

EVERYONE ELSE: You can find me (assuming I can drag myself out of bed once I finally make it there) at the BOISE BUSINESS BABES Holiday Market at the Riverside on Sunday from 11-5pm! I'm displaying and selling my entire metal landscape and travel collection + smaller prints. I'm super excited to be sharing space with all of the other small, local, women-owned businesses that will be there too. I'll add the flyer to the comments. It's free to come and there are Santa will be there for the kids too. Come see me!
