🚨 IMPORTANT ILLNESS REMINDER 🚨
Flu is running rampant!
We want to remind everyone of our illness policy and ask for your help in keeping our children, families, and teachers healthy.
If your child begins to show any signs or symptoms of the flu or other illness while in our care, we will contact you to pick your child up. Please make arrangements to pick up your child as soon as possible when contacted.
Last year, we had to close the center for an entire week due to illness among our teachers. We really do not want to have to do that again this year! Keeping sick children home helps prevent the spread and helps us remain open for everyone.
🦠 IF YOUR CHILD IS DIAGNOSED WITH THE FLU:
Your child must remain out the day they are diagnosed AND 4 additional days. (5 complete days out.)
Your child may return on the 6th day, provided they are feeling well enough to participate in normal activities.
Example:
Diagnosed 9/4
Must stay home: 9/4, 9/5, 9/6, 9/7 & 9/8
May return: 9/9
🤢 DIARRHEA / VOMITING / FEVER
If your child experiences vomiting, diarrhea, or fever, they must remain out of care for at least 24 hours from the onset of symptoms.
They must also be fever-free without the use of medication such as Tylenol or Motrin.
Please do not give medication to mask a fever and send your child to care. This puts other children and our teachers at risk of becoming sick.
🧼 WE ARE DOING OUR PART!
We are also taking advantage of our lower attendance numbers right now by having our teachers spend extra time disinfecting and deep-cleaning classrooms and commonly touched areas.
We are doing everything we can on our end to help stop the spread of illness and keep our center open and healthy for everyone.
We truly appreciate everyone’s help and understanding! Keeping sick children home is one of the best ways we can work together to prevent a larger outbreak and avoid having to close the center.
Thank you for helping us keep Lil Red Wagon healthy and open! ❤️
