More information does not always reduce uncertainty.
Sometimes it multiplies it.
You start with one question. Then you find five articles, three opposing opinions, two tools, and a few expert threads.
Suddenly, the original decision feels harder than when you started.
That is one of the quiet problems with information overload.
It does not just give people more to know. It gives them more to sort, compare, question, and second-guess.
AI can make that even more intense because it can generate more options faster than most people can evaluate them.
Before collecting more information, it helps to ask:
• What decision am I actually trying to make?
• What would change my mind?
• What would be “enough” information to move forward?
More information can help, but only when it serves the decision instead of burying it.
