It's so easy to get focused on other things during Memorial Day. I'm guilty of it myself. But I do feel this is one of the more important memorial days in the past decade. Mainly because I think people have mentally separated themselves from the two things that have made this country what it is. God, and the fallen soldiers that gave it all for our freedom.

I know I haven't posted anything in a while. And honestly, I just haven't felt like making or editing videos. Haha 🤷🏽‍♂️

But this job has such a great before/after result that I had to make this the exit to my posting hiatus.

This is a 9100 auto that my buddy got while he was in the military a long time ago. Not sure if it actually was issued to him (contrary to what I said in the video). But it has been used and used and used. And I don't believe it has had a good cleaning since he got it probably close to a decade ago.

So I wanted to give it it's old life back with the help of some Q-tips and a good amount of Gunny Glide by STUFF IS AMAZING!

As you can see, it's a night and day difference now and it's firing on all cylinders again.

And of course I had to give it a nice edge again with my Precision Adjust.

Been a LONG time since my last upload. Been working on a mixture of home projects, OT at work, and other things, and just haven't felt like editing or uploading anything.

But this was a big, rewarding job from the same guy that wanted me to reprofile his OD1 into a tanto before. One of these was that same one and just needed the edge touched up again.
So he sent me 3 additional more to do the tanto reprofile on. Was able to get my calipers to do some measuring to get these all as uniform as possible. Really think they came out great!

And of course the edge was done with my Precision Adjust sharpener.

This was a 3 knife job.
Customer had 2 OD1s and a Skyline.
One of the OD1s he just wanted sharpening done. The other OD1 he wanted reprofiled into a tanto.
He wanted the Skyline sharpened as well.

One of the photos shows taping the knife out beforehand in order to get a decent visual of what the tanto reprofile would look like when finished.

LOVE how the tanto reprofile came out!



If you want a reprofiling done, please ask! We can brainstorm together to determine if it can be done, AND if it would even look right aesthetically.

This Yojimbo came in with a chip on the blade. And you obviously can't leave a knife like this in this condition, so I was asked to get it taken care of.

I've done some adjustments to my Precision Adjust kit, so it performs even better now! This is the first I've gotten an edge UNDER utility razor blade sharpness.
