I remember jumping on a 15 minute call with a VA Coach one day and the first question she asked was how much I charge - and all she said was "you need to raise your prices".

There was no question about my experience, who I support, my goals - literally nothing. And then she rushed me off the call after 6 minutes. I'm sorry wtf?

"JuSt RaIsE yOuR pRiCeS and all your problems will be solved" is the biggest cop out advice I've ever fcking heard in my life and I guarantee its the same advice she gave everyone.

Do your prices matter? 100%
Do you need to increase them? 100% - but not "just bcoz someone told you to".

Prices is part of business strategy...It is not a confidence fix or the only ticket to high paying clients.

Because sorry to break it to you but when you charge premium rates, people EXPECT premium services & results.

If you're doing the same sh*t at $150 an hour that you were doing at $35 an hour - it's not going to cut it.
More money means more responsibility and significantly higher expectations, so before you go slapping a new number on your offer because your coach told you to - ask yourself these questions first.

Does this price actually align with where I am in my business right now?
Does it make sense within my offer suite?
Does it feel good (not just exciting) but actually good in reality?
Does it align with my revenue goals or am I just picking a number that sounds cute?

Because THAT is what pricing is actually about...It should be a number that reflects your experience, your delivery, your offer suite and your life right now.

There is a time and a place to increase your prices and that time is when YOU have grown into the number, not when someone who doesn't know your business tells you to 🤦‍♀️

Because guess what? You still have to deliver the f*cking results and that part doesn't change no matter what number you put on your offer.
