Today we help a customer finish a remodel they started and needed some plumbing help to make it work. We opened a wall to move the plumbing for new bigger vanity and installed the vanity. Put down a repair fl**ge and installed their new toilet. Replaced the old drum trap in basement and put new waste and overflow on tub, which we will have to go back once the matching Ch*****ne gold color trim comes in to match the shower trim and installed the tub spout to finish up the new shower valve.

So one of our commercial accounts needed the control boards replaced on their automatic faucets. 2 out of the 4 units the batteries leaked and the acid ruined the boards.
Today we learned something new. After replacing the boards we tried the unit and it didn’t worked on either one and retried the other 2 they didn’t work either. So I informed them that being they were so old and hardly used the sensors must be no good and they gave us the ok to replace all of them. After picking up one of the girls came in and I asked her if any of the faucets worked and she said yes the 2 on the right but not the 2 on left, which were the ones we replaced the controls. I asked her to show me and she went to the 2 that worked and they turned on, and then she went to the other 2 I just fixed and they turned on for her but when I tried them they still didn’t work. Then it hit me, I had black rubber gloves on so I took them off and tried it and they worked for me, so for some reason the gloves didn’t trigger the sensor, I learned something new today. I still could have sold them new faucets but at almost $1000 each I think they like it better that we figured it out.

A surprise visit from our company supervisor on the holiday and he approves the cleaning and stocking up of 2 of the service trucks for the busy week ahead.

Happy Labor Day, yup it might not be considered an emergency to us but we took care of it for the customer today just to get it off the books for the short week we have because of the holiday.

Out in Plainville with a replacement of 2 outside faucets. The front one went 3ft in to house through an over hang and we had to repipe in pex because of the bend and the back one we had to open wall to access it to replace it and install an access door also.

Out on the border of Burlington and Bristol today to replace a 40 gallon A/O Smith LP gas water heater with a 50 gallon Bradford White LP gas and install new 4” vent to be closer to the other side of chimney, cap the old, repipe the water and gas to it and install an auto-shutoff for it also.

Out in plainville at another commercial account to replace a urinal flush valve.

Out in New Britian today to install a pressure Reducer valve in a ceiling in one of our commercial accounts to bring the pressure down from 140 to 70.
