Soooo proud to have witnessed this culmination of hard work, sacrifice and commitment in person!!!!

Today, New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed the New York Clean Slate Act into law, making it the twelfth state to enact legislation that meets The Clean Slate Initiative’s policy minimums.

As a result, millions of New Yorkers will no longer be defined by their records and will have a fair opportunity to contribute to their community, to work, get an education, and achieve their full potential. In addition to helping working families, the law will also help reduce recidivism, which increases public safety. Moreover, skilled workers previously denied opportunities will be able to provide more valuable contributions to the workforce, and the state’s economy stands to benefit.

Oh hey 2023!! I’m bringing in the new year in true “Stacey fashion” by finding a way or making one — my life motto! I didn’t have black-eyes peas for my good luck tokens today so I used pinto beans instead…the ancestors will give me grace, right?

2022 was A YEAR. Possibly the hardest of my life. Literally E V E R Y T H I N G hit the fan: health, work, relationships…but I managed. Not only did I manage, but once I made the decision to choose me, I thrived. I have no clue what the new year will bring but I do know that it is meeting me more peaceful, more intuitive, more joyful, more supported, and with more healthy boundaries than ever. Also? I have THE best squad evah.

Here’s to self-love! 🥂🥳🫶🏾
