Didn't get the job today. Really wanted to bring home the gold but my opponent was better. He fought smart and I just couldn't make the adjustments. That being said I am super happy with my performance. I've been focused on attacking specifically the back and every match I was in a position to finish.

Thank you to all my coaches and for pushing me and all your guidance. Thank you to all my teammates for helping me get better and making BJJ so amazing. Thank you to Carlos, Colleen, John and Hannah for coming out to cheer me on. You all are amazing. Now we eat rest and Monday we are back to get better.

Oh and I broke my finger but who cares it's BJJ 😋

In 2020 I gained weight and was the biggest I've ever been in my life. I've gained weight in the past and have been able to lose it but this time it was different. I was older and no matter how much I tried I couldn't loose it. It was causing me to struggle with anxiety and I just didn't feel good.

In 2021 I got back into BJJ! My coach told me little by little we will get it back. Almost 50lbs later I am in great shape. Happy and not struggling with anxiety. BJJ has changed my life and if you've ever considered giving it a try I highly recommend it. It is good for the body, mind and soul.
