I remember the first time I picked up a camera and truly felt that photography was my calling. It is something that I have loved and grown from over the past 16 years and something that will always be part of me. That love of the camera led to capturing hundreds of weddings and events, to going all over the city caputing iconic shots and flying high in the skies getting to achieve things I never thought possible. All of that eventually lead to content creation, influencing, and partnering with big brands like Verizon, Samsung, and the Empire State Building to share my craft in return for free things and some paychecks.
Freelancer life has a lot of ups and downs. You never know when the next opportunity is yours for the taking. Constant networking and selling yourself. Which leads to a unique photo I captured last year of the Concorde jet going under the Brooklyn Bridge. The amount of shares and interaction lead me to getting involved with the Intrepid Museum and being able to take part in it's return home. It also lead me to LEGO who announced the Concorde set the same day I took the photo. I've always had a place in my heart for LEGO and I LOVE to drift away building a set. I took a chance and reached out to every PR/Marketing email from LEGO I could find which in the end resulted in being contacted and sent a free Concorde set to build and make content with. Further down the road it lead to being part of a LEGO event in the city featuring a cool drone show. I made amazing contacts, shared our stories, and said I'd love to do more with LEGO down the road. Well that time is finally here.
The past month or so I have been "building" something that I cannot wait to share with everyone. I'm taking content creation to another level for myself, one I have never done before. Instead of being behind the camera I will now be in front of the lens. I have transformed my office space into a place where I will live stream myself building LEGO sets as well as just hanging out with people, chatting. Will also do live edits of NYC photography, and maybe even play a video game every now and then. Starting next week I will press the go live button and you can come hang out while I build the LEGO Star Wars Dark Millennium Falcon and the LEGO Star Wars C-3PO sets. Hopefully in time I can become affiliated and have the opportunity to have people subscribe and take part of a fun community I'm going to put together. It's definitely something very different for me but it is something I'm very passionate about and can't wait to see where this goes.
I know this has been a long post but if you stuck around to the end I can't wait to have you all show up in chat next week. For now I'll be simply on my Twitch TV account where you can find me at https://www.twitch.tv/pugz82
Gonna be fun! See you all there!
