Founded November 18, 2014

The Rust Music was co-founded by Wyler Sanca, Francesco Ferran, and Malakai Linden. The blog portion of The Rust was founded by Wyler Sanca in November of 2014. It was created for the writer to be able to share his musical passions with the world and to shed light on the beautiful work being made by artists from all over. There are many creatives in all sorts of disciplines who aren't getting the recognition that they truly deserve, and The Rust was designed to give those artists the chance to be heard. After several years of writing articles, curating playlists, and building a network of incredible musicians, the label and management portion of The Rust was launched. The Rust Music is a Digital Record Label and Management company devoted to discovering and sharing untapped talent and pushing quality and innovation within the realm of sound. Music has had a profound effect on each and every person involved in this project, and this community. Our goal is simply to help connect the deserving creative with their proper audience.

Minneapolis based musician and producer Sam Rivkin started the Conduit project in 2013 after getting into electronic music production making the beats for psychedelic hip hop duo Alien Brain Food. Ranging from heavy uptempo to lush ethereal downtempo all with a progressive rhythm influence, Conduit has a focus on creating a full spectrum of soundscapes and sound design. With his newest EP, Celestial Decay, Conduit strays away from complex rhythms and the cerebral sound found in past releases, favoring a more stripped back, dancefloor-centric take on his often dark, psychedelic sound.

Celestial Decay is titled after the theory that once all the stars die in roughly 100 trillion years, all that will be left are planets and black holes in darkness; until inevitably in around a googol years, the last black hole will finally shrivel up and explode, leaving behind an empty universe where nothing else can form in absolute zero degree temperature.

Just over a week of Isaac T-y’s debut EP, Rabble Rouser, which is out on all platforms! 📀

‘I think my favorites from this collection are ShipShape and Moorish, the two bookends of the EP. Shipshape is the oldest of the bunch and Moorish is the newest, and I think you can hear the progression in style there with ShipShape being more raw and Moorish being a bit more thorough and polished.’

‘It was actually 9 years ago on Sept 13th that my brother took me to see Tipper for the first time at 16 years old, and I was instantly hooked on the sound. Nearly a decade later I’m so proud to be able to contribute to the scene I’ve been a part of for so long now, and I can’t thank all the friends enough who have listened along the way and encouraged me to do more with my music ❤️’ – Isaac T-y

ESOK aka Isaac Taylor-Young joins The Rust Music’s ranks with his debut EP, Rabble Rouser. Pulling inspiration from over 10 years in the scene as an avid music lover on the front side of the stage, ESOK has successfully distilled a sound that is entirely his own through years of experimentation behind closed doors.

A rabble-rouser, where the EP gets it’s name, is one who deliberately stirs up the passions of a crowd to spark aggressive and unruly behaviors. Flipping the meaning on its head somewhat with this collection of tunes, ESOK follows his cheeky sense of humor and prankster attitude down a parallel that stirs up unruly behavior on the dance floor in the most positive way.

You can find Rabble Rouser on our Bandcamp and in all the usual places 🎧

Veteran Danish producer Karsten Pflum delivers a haunting, British folk horror-inspired remix of ‘Stargazer', from Rumpistol’s award winning 2025 album, 'Nebula'. Shifting from his usual heavy IDM, the Berlin-based artist crafts a deeply emotional, hypnagogic soundscape. He strips back the original, layering distant flutes, microtonal synth melodies, and sleepwalking whiskered drums.

You can find it below, on our Bandcamp or wherever you listen to music, alongside six other Nebula remixes from artists including Lapa, AYO Schønherr, Foxtail, Faek, ISAN, & 57° North (Erot + Johannes Hedberg of Carbon Based Lifeforms).

P.S. - Nebula vinyl and poster stocks are beginning to run low in the US and have completely sold out in Europe (though you can still order from the US)! If you have been thinking of picking one up the time is here 💫
