Being a caregiver is one of the most rewarding callings, but it can also be overwhelming. Many times, it feels like a 24/7 role—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
And here’s the truth: many caregivers aren’t just caring for loved ones; some of us have also stepped into the role of business owners, running home healthcare agencies or providing services through homemaker & companion care and APD support. Carrying both responsibilities can be a beautiful ministry, but it can also feel heavy.
So here’s some encouragement today: if you don’t have a therapist, a spiritual leader, a trusted friend, or a family member to lean on, please don’t carry the weight alone. Sometimes all it takes is asking someone, “Can you sit with them for just an hour so I can breathe, unwind, or regroup?”
That’s why services like companion care and respite care are so important. They give caregivers the chance to step away, refresh, and come back stronger.
💙 Please remember this: you can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself, so you can continue taking care of others.
