It’s the first day of a 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛, so before you rush into everything you have to do today, take a moment for **𝗬𝗢𝗨**.

One thing I’ve learned through experience, observation, reading, evaluation, and listening to successful people is this:

**How you 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 your day matters, and how you 𝗘𝗡𝗗 your day matters.**

We are so quick to wake up and give everybody else access to us.

T𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲.
T𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀.
T𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻.
T𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.
T𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯.
S𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮.
E𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀.

But where are 𝗬𝗢𝗨 in your morning routine?

I’ve learned that I need time at the beginning 𝗔𝗡𝗗 the end of my day that is focused on **me, myself, and I.**

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳.
T𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲.

So here’s my challenge for September:

**Stop hitting snooze on Y𝗢𝗨.**

When that alarm goes off, get up with intention. Before you give the world access to you, give **𝗬𝗢𝗨 access to 𝗬𝗢𝗨.**

And before you close your eyes at night, reconnect with your vision.

You have the ability to create the life you desire—but that life requires a version of you who is intentional enough to create it.

Raising children on your own demands immense strength. It's a reality I never imagined for myself, yet here I am, navigating it with every bit of courage.

I'm so grateful for God's strength to navigate full-time entrepreneurship, motherhood, and life. Leading with wisdom and prayer is key, especially when raising Black sons. I need my boys to dream big, stand for something, and know how to move in the world. I truly can't do it without God's help. My advice: lead with love, fill your home with joy and peace, and surround your children with love.

Your children need to see the healed you, not just the happy you. Show them love through your actions, and don't forget to say the words. Expressing 'I love you' verbally is as important as demonstrating it.
