Being educated and knowledgeable is absolutely vital ; informed consent and informed refusal are both so important in a birth setting.

Informed consent is NOT telling you what is going to happen, it is INFORMING you on the benefits and risks of your choices and letting you make an informed decision.

There are topics that need to be discussed and researched before you give birth, that way you are aware of everything that is going on and educated on the choices that may be presented to you.

Did you know that some insurances will reimburse you for a doula?! If having a doula is something that interests you, but you feel like you can’t afford it reach out to your insurance company. You may be surprised!

Dogs can smell hormonal changes in your body.

They can sense that something about you is different and they can also see your physical changes happening.

As the birth of your baby grows nearer, your pal may again sense these changes and may become extra clingy and extra protective.

They may follow you around to make sure you are ok.
