For as long as I can remember, I’ve been dying to see the world. ⁣

My father used to go on regular business trips to faraway places. He’d go to Japan, India, Israel, Turkey, and all over Europe. He’d always bring me back a small gift from his trips, and I’d cherish them like sacramental trinkets. Little gold earrings embellished with colorful Indian silk, a doll with black thread hair wearing a beautiful red kimono, a palm-sized brass replica of the Eiffel Tower. I’d study every detail of these exotic gifts, hoping to discover some insight into where they came from. ⁣

(Full story continued in the latest blog, here: https://www.chelseaglaser.com/insights-and-ideas/wandering-is-wonderful)⁣

This year is the first I have been able to travel abroad with my work in tow, and it has already been a complete whirlwind. I’ll be sharing more about my trips soon, but here is one of my favorite photos taken by the incredibly talented Wiley Putnam, from our time in Molokai, HI in February. (Those little specs are us!!) ⁣

It is surreal to reflect on this lifelong travel bug as I am just returning from my 3rd trip in 3 months, and preparing for the next one already. I’m still getting my sea legs as I navigate the work-life blend of running my copywriting business remotely, but, all of a sudden, my career feels like the key to a better life, rather than a padlock on my time and freedom. ⁣

Trying to soak in every little ounce of goodness life has to offer right now. ☀️

When I met Lauren DeLoach Creative in early 2018, I had no idea the significance of what we’d create together. ⁣

What started out as me helping her write a new About page turned into a natural referral partnership, which turned into a series of collaborations, which turned us into a team working with our dream clients.⁣

Launch It Girl has been growing behind the scenes for several whirlwind months, and my heart is so full watching it coming to life. ⁣

I am blown away by the supportive, innovative, and inspiring women (and men!) who have already reached out to cheer us on. I can’t wait to unveil all the big plans we have in store to help break down barriers for female entrepreneurs everywhere. ( 🤘) ⁣

Just full of gratitude, excitement and girl power over here. 🥰 I can’t wait to share what’s coming next! @ Tacoma, Washington

Meet a Founder: Dee Alams

Dee is the founder of City Sweats and the pioneer of Seattle’s infrared movement. After graduating from UW and starting a career in project management, she soon realized the traditional corporate environment was not for her. Channeling her passion for dance and fitness, decided to open her own fitness studio. As she pursued certificates in wellness and fitness coaching, she was introduced to the ancient practice of sweat therapy. Inspired, she added an infrared sauna to her studio in 2010.

Due to the lack of infrared therapy available in the Seattle area, Dee had new clients coming from nearly 50 miles away, seeking help with problems ranging from mood disorders to debilitative diseases. As she observed the transformations these clients went through in healing their conditions, she began drawing up the plans for City Sweats, which opened in 2014. She now has 2 locations in Seattle that offer a range of therapeutic services, and is working on an ebook focusing on sweat therapy detox.

Join us THIS THURSDAY March 14th at ATLAS Workbase to hear more insights from Dee and the rest of our inspiring panelists!
