Do you have a great webpage that Just. Won’t. Rank.?

Here’s a checklist to help ya:

☑️Enter the search phrase into SEMrush or Ahrefs. Is the difficulty high, like say, over 30? You might need to target an easier keyword.

☑️Look at what’s currently #1 in Google for that phrase. Is your page better? If not, you should focus on the amount & quality of content on the page.

Still not ranking? Add internal linking from your other pages pointing to the one you want to rank.

What’s comes to mind when you hear the word CANNIBAL?!?

SEO keywords? Me too! That’s because having multiple pages targeting the same keyword is a no-no, and a surefire way to CANNIBALIZE your rankings.

Let’s say you want to rank for “super SaaS widget”. Rather than have 10 pages about your super SaaS widget, you want one page that’s the absolute best thing in Google about that topic.

Then have your other pages about related, but different search phrases.

Stop. Stop focusing on your technical SEO.

While your website should have all the major technical issues cleaned up, there is something much bigger you should be focusing on - CONTENT.

Quality, keyword–focused content and backlinks (thanks to that content) are what will really drive your rankings up.

Anyone can run a tool and figure out most technical SEO fixes.
