People often wonder why I sing during my keynotes and use music as a learning and development tool.
To me, music is a unifier, a relaxer, and a way to speak truth through melody.
We can enjoy a song together even when we don't speak the same language.
And based on neuroscientific research, music primes the mind for learning.
It is a tool we use to recall memories and messages.
It's a way to open up dialogue and make messages digestible and memorable.
Classical, jazz, piano, violin, dance, R&B, soul, gospel, musical theatre, choral training, and all those hours of practice are paying off because I get to give this gift to others.
I feel so blessed to have this gift in my toolbox, especially when I watch a room grow quiet and still, hear the audience join in, and sometimes be moved to tears.
