Labor Day weekend is here! Summer events are coming to an end! Band on the Beach featuring Autumn Ris-N will be performing this Saturday from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Grab your beach chairs, coolers, and boats for this fun FREE family event! The band will be performing at the outdoor Lodge lower level at no charge for property owners and their guests. All ages are welcome. This is a free family friendly event and as always no glass containers are allowed at the beach or Lodge area. This performance is generously being sponsored by The Scholarship Foundation for Hide-A-Way Lake Students.
Waters Edge Restaurant will be serving Labor Day weekend specials. This Saturday, Waters Edge will have Band on the Beach Chicken Wing Special, and on Monday, Labor Day The Reuben Sandwich Special will be available. Please see below for reservation and more details.
With the Labor Day weekend being a busy time for the Front Main Gate, please ensure that all guests are pre-registered with the gate before they arrive. Use the app or the web portal for Gate Sentry to input your visitors into the system BEFORE they arrive at the gate. Please only use the phone call option when the app or web portal is not available to you. Phone calls must be from a phone number registered through the HAWL Office. When calling, only a maximum of two guests may be registered. Calls may only be taken 48 hours in advance. By not using the app or web portal, the gate becomes very busy and it delays dispatching urgent calls for patrol assistance to owners and causes gate entry delays.
As a property owner, you are completely responsible for the actions of your residents and guests during the duration of their time in the community. Please note that if you authorize one guest into the community and they bring additional people with them, you are still responsible for their actions. Property owners most of the time are not aware of this issue, but please be mindful and help control any additional guests. Help keep our HAWL community a “Family Environment for All”.

This will provide another avenue for property owners to talk to the Board and the General Manager and to ask any questions directly to those who work hard to run our community. Please come to discuss HAWL business with the direct sources to prevent misinformation while building a sense of community and fellowship with other property owners.
Eighth Annual White Linen Night

Hide-A-Way Lake Pool and Lodge A casual evening of tastings and fun for scholarships. The Scholarship Foundation for Hide-A-Way Lake Students is proud to present the seventh annual White Linen Night, “Counting Stars” at the Hide-A-Way Lake Lodge and Pool on October 3, 2026, from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. (We appreciate your enthusiasm for the event, but doors won’t open until 6:30 pm.) The number of tickets to the event is limited this year. Ticket costs are $50 per person in advance or $60 per person at the door, if available. Donation tickets can be obtained at Band on the Beach on September 5, 2026, or from any Scholarship Foundation member:

Fishing Rodeo
October 17, 2026 (dusk October 16, 2026 – noon October 17, 2026); Awards: October 17, 2026 noon
The Fishing Rodeo will begin at dusk October 16th and end at noon October 17th. Pick up a map of fishing habitat locations at the Lodge, HAWL website, or East Marina Pavilion (when scales are open) to locate fishing spots. Weigh-in will be at the East Marina Pavilion by the Lodge. The scales open at 9:00 am and close at noon. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. There will be only one weigh-in per fisherman; all fish must be caught by hook and line. There will be four fish categories (bass, bream/bluegill, crappie, and catfish). Note changes in age groups: 10 and under, 11 - 18, and 19 and older. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the largest total weight of fish will be awarded in all age groups in each fish category. (Entry limit for bass, bream/bluegill, and crappie is up to five fish. Unlimited catfish may be entered.) A separate trophy open to all age groups will be presented for Largest Bass. There is no need to register for this FREE Rodeo. For more information, call the Office at 601-798-1484. No skiing or tubing will be allowed on the lake during the fishing rodeo.
Fall Festival
Saturday, October 17, 2026 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Enjoy games, trunk-or-treat, and Touch a Truck with classic cars and utility vehicles from 9:00 am - 11:30 am for elementary school age children in the Lodge parking lot. Costumes are highly encouraged. If you would like to participate in this event by setting up/hosting games, handing out candy from your vehicle/golf cart, or letting kids see your work vehicle or classic car up close, contact the HAWL Office. Participants are responsible for providing their own games, individually wrapped candy or treats, tables, decorations, etc. Set up begins at 8:00 am. If you wish to donate candy for this event, bring it to the HAWL Office before October 16, 2026.
Family Movie Night

Gather the family to watch Hocus Pocus at 6:30 pm on the beach. Bring your beach blankets and chairs, coolers, and snacks. Free popcorn will be provided.
Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Saturday, October 17, 2026, Alexis Theatre Productions presents a Murder Mystery Dinner Show at Waters Edge. Doors open at 6:15 pm; Show at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $45.00 person and includes a three course meal, costume contest, commemorative photo, and prizes for winning sleuths. Enjoy loaded potato skins, bourbon chicken with white rice, grilled broccoli medley, and lava cake while solving this 1980’s mall themed who done it! Reservations are required as space is limited and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

Saturday, October 24, 2026, Waters Edge will host Family Dinner Night from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. With the purchase of an adult entrée, kids 13 years and younger eat free from the Kids Menu. Along with the full menu, family friendly specials will be offered. In addition to dinner, movies will be on in the Lakeview Room as well as coloring sheets and table games for families to enjoy. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling the HAWL Office.
Great Fall Rummage Sale
Saturday, October 31, 2026 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Lodge Parking Lot
Contact the HAWL Office to reserve a space.
*Rain date is November 7, 2026. The decision to postpone/cancel will be made at 3:00 pm the day before the Rummage Sale.
*Cost of each space (2 parking spots) is $20. (Total rented space measures 18’ x 18’).
*Limit of two Rummage Sale spaces (four parking spots) per
property owner.
*Non-typical rummage sale items must be approved by the General Manager before renting a space.
*Participants are required to supply their own tables and may use trailers as tables if the trailer fits in the assigned space(s).
*Setup is the day of the Rummage Sale; no earlier than 6:30 am and must be completed by 7:30 am and all vehicles must be
removed from the area.
*Participants are required to remove all of their unsold items, boxes, and debris after the event.
*After the event, HOPE Thrift by the PRCSPCA will collect donations of unsold items (excluding clothing) for their store.
Breakfast Buffet

On October 31, 2026, join Waters Edge for a breakfast buffet (served by staff) including an omelet station from 8:00 am - 10:30 am. The cost is $14.99 for adults, $7.99 for children 5 - 12, and free for children 4 and under.
