Throwback Thursday: 2022 HHS Seniors Laura and Kaitlyn
Senior Tip: When you dream about your senior portrait session, think about the season you want. Here in Texas, we basically have 2 looks. Summer/Fall or Winter/Spring. Here are the cliff notes for each.
Summer/Fall 🌞🍁
June through the first of November will have leaves on the trees and the grass will be green. The main difference is the outside temp. Summer will be hot. Fall will be a little cooler, but we will have to factor in rescheduling time in case it rains.
Winter/Spring ❄️🍃
Late Nov through April. Why did I clump these two seasons together? Early spring will start to warm up, but the leaves won't have grown in yet. By the time it's green again, it will be too late to get your portraits back in time for graduation.
My thoughts... Summer is the best time to schedule your senior session if you are heavily involved in school activities. Your schedule will be wide open and you won't feel the stress of fitting it in. However, if your schedule isn't powered by school activities, the fall and winter are beautiful times of the year.
Do you want a more urban/city look for your session? Then it doesn't matter about the season because the buildings don't change with the weather.
