The customer called saying their solid, 3/4" hardwood was showing lines, which the Dealer could not figure out. Inspected the floor and found it to have 17% moisture. Normal levels should be around 8% to 12%. Scanned the house and found an area, rarely used, which was covered by a large wool area rug. Infrared technology has been used for many years, yet it remains a relatively unknown factor. Murph began using it for flooring in 2005 and was able to identify issues that were not visible to the human eye. "WE SEE THINGS YOU CAN'T" came from his initial inspections.
It's tough to explain to anyone who hasn't seen it in use.

What started as a certified flooring inspection service has grown into infrared home scans and animal scans.

The first year he had his FLIR B2, he took it on vacation and showed us everything it could do. He showed us where our knees and ankles were inflamed, and it revealed the difference in atmospheric temperatures and airflow issues in the vacation home.
There was a thunderstorm in the bay, and I was trying to photograph the lightning. Murph pointed his infrared camera at the horizon and instructed me to point in specific directions.
His camera was able to detect a disturbance in the clouds.
I took 20 pictures with a tripod and almost every shot had lightning in it. Pretty good for my first time trying!!

Infrared is non-invasive and works best with short haired dogs, horses mostly.
The white areas are the hottest and blue areas are the coldest.
