WHAT IS INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY?
Infrared thermography, or IRT, is a non- invasive technology that uses thermal cameras to detect heat imbalances on any object. Each object emits energy that is not visible to the human eye.
Think of the movie Predator, where you can see the heat signatures, even in darkness.
It was initially used by the military and fire departments, and has become more mainstream over the years.
We have used this technology in the flooring industry for 20 years, mostly to detect moisture intrusion, and are about to expand its use to horses and dogs.
We have done this with horses and dogs over the years, but never really thought of it as our primary focus. We are working on our next certification with this incredible technology and are very excited about this next chapter of MIBI.
