Ever wondered why the pool has to sit like this for a certain period of time before the decking/concrete is poured?
After a pool is installed and backfilled, the ground around it needs time to naturally settle and compact. Even when everything is properly graded and packed, freshly moved soil will continue to shift slightly over the next few weeks — especially after rain and water saturation.
Allowing the pool to sit before pouring concrete helps:
✔ Prevent future cracking or sinking of the deck
✔ Allow the backfill to fully settle around the pool walls
✔ Ensure a longer-lasting, more stable concrete surface
✔ Protect the overall structure and finish of the pool project
We know the waiting part is tough, but taking the extra time now helps avoid costly problems later. Quality installations are about doing things the RIGHT way, not the fastest way.
The end result will be worth it! Stay tuned for the finished product.
