Mission - To accelerate the success and growth of the NYS Equine Industry through delivery of promotion, connection and education activities and materials that strengthen the existing industry and launch efforts to reach new audiences and markets. Promotion is carried out through creation and marketing of a comprehensive online directory of equine farms and ranches along with equine related service and support business. Connection is established through networking opportunities and activities between and across equine farms, ranches, and service/support providers. Education is provided through creation of key industry infographics and a resource library. A unique focus of education is on materials and actions that draw new entrants and supporters to the NYS Horse Industry. First priority – Launching a comprehensive online equine directory: The online directory will be organized by Equine Business Category and New York Region. A unique feature is the inclusion of an interactive map by location and business categories. The primary categories for map icons are: Horse Farms, Instruction, Equine Health Providers, Equine Business Suppliers; Equine Support Businesses/Independent Contractors, Nonprofit Organizations, Recreation. Additional map icons will be added as membership grows.
