We are often told that effective leadership requires emotional intelligence.

Most of us understand why. We have sent an email we later regretted, responded impatiently during a difficult conversation, interrupted instead of listening, or became more controlling as pressure increased.

Only afterward do we realize we did not show up the way we intended.

We tell ourselves, “Next time, I’ll pause. I’ll communicate differently. I’ll respond with greater intention.”

But how do we make that change before the email is sent, the words are spoken, or the behavior begins affecting the people around us?

In our latest article, we explore 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘀 that can quietly distort how leaders show up and how recognizing them earlier can create more choice in how leaders respond.

Feedback doesn’t improve performance just because it’s accurate.

If it triggers defensiveness, people may spend more energy debating the past than improving the future.

So how do you give feedback people can actually hear and act on?

In this week’s article, we break down the research and share a practical framework for moving feedback forward.

Learn how to give effective feedback that reduces defensiveness, focuses on observable impact, and helps employees turn feedback into action.

𝗜𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀?

Innovation doesn't only come from the top. Many of the most valuable ideas come from the employees closest to your customers, operations, and day-to-day challenges.

The problem isn't a lack of ideas.

It's that too many of those ideas never reach senior leadership in a way leaders can quickly understand, evaluate, and support.

In our latest article, we explore three communication pillars that enable professionals to communicate ideas more strategically and strengthen executive alignment across organizations.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗕.𝗟.𝗨.𝗙.)
Help leaders understand the recommendation before the supporting details.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲
Connect ideas to broader business outcomes, not just departmental needs.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱
Adapt communication to the way decision-makers prefer to receive information.

When organizations strengthen executive communication, they don't just improve conversations. They improve alignment, accelerate decision-making, and increase the likelihood that great ideas become meaningful action.

It's bringing the entire organization with you.

Yet many still struggle to translate strategic decisions into consistent day-to-day behavior across the organization.

In our latest Executive Insight, we explore why organizational change often stalls and why understanding what needs to change is not the same as adopting it.
