You want to be a surrogate… but how do you find a family to work with?
There are a few different ways to find a match. Some surrogates choose to connect with intended parents independently, while others prefer to work with an agency that helps guide the process and find a potential match.
At Village Surrogacy, the matching process typically looks something like this:
First, you create your profile.
Once you’re approved to join our agency, you’ll create a profile in our portal. This includes photos of you and your family, a video tour of your home, and questions about your life, your family, and what’s important to you in a surrogacy journey.
Then, we get to know our intended parents.
Intended parents create a profile, too.
Behind the scenes, our coordinator gets to know both sides and looks for commonalities, shared expectations, and the things that matter most when considering a potential match.
If we see a potential match, the surrogate gets the first look.
We’ll present the intended parents’ profile to the surrogate first. She can take some time to review their information and decide whether she’d like to move forward with an introduction.
Then, it’s the intended parents’ turn.
If the surrogate is interested in meeting, we share her profile with the intended parents. If they’re interested, too, we help arrange a first conversation, either virtually or in person.
And from there? You get to start getting to know each other. ❤️
