Miami is more than palm trees and beautiful views-itā€™s a city where money, culture, ambition, and opportunity move fast.

What stood out to me is how much of the economy is driven by entrepreneurship, real estate, hospitality, international business, and people willing to take risks. Thereā€™s a strong Latin influence, but also a very global mindset.

Miami reminded me that business opportunities donā€™t always come from creating something completely new. Sometimes they come from understanding where people are going, what they value, and how money is moving.

Every city teaches you something different about business. Miami taught me to think bigger, move faster, and pay attention to the market around me.

Somehow since I started my own entrepreneurial journey, Miami continues to bring me backā€¦

I built my business in a way so I wouldnā€™t have to be a salesperson. I specialized. Compliance. Data analysis. CRM software development. Business operations.

My strategy was simple: become so knowledgeable and useful that my work could speak for me-and eventually sell itself. And, so far, it has worked.

In my first 3 years, Iā€™ve had the opportunity to help 120+ businesses, gaining a level of hands-on experience that would have taken me much longer to acquire through a traditional path. By my second year, my business crossed six figures. Iā€™m still small. Still learning. Still building.

But lately Iā€™ve realized something:

I became very good at being sellable without necessarily becoming very good at selling.

Those are two completely different skills.

Expertise can make people seek you out.
Results can create referrals.
Reputation can build trust before you ever enter the room. But selling something else requires something else.

For a long time, I didnā€™t need that muscle as much because specialization did so much of the selling for me.

Now I think the time has come to develop it.

Not because what worked stopped working. I continue to have plenty of work and some on a waitlist.

But because Iā€™m curious about what happens when I combine specialized knowledge + proven results + the ability to sell. New skill to master. šŸŽÆ

Work. Family. Purpose. And a little NYC in between. šŸ—½ā¤ļø

One day in New York City to follow up with a client.
The rest of the week? Legoland with the family. šŸŽ¢

And somewhere in between all of itā€¦ I worked. Every day. Because apparently my laptop and I are a package deal. šŸ˜‚šŸ’»

Some people completely disconnect on vacation. Iā€™ve realized thatā€™s just not me-and Iā€™m perfectly okay with that.

I genuinely love what I do. I love being present with my family, making memories, traveling, exploring new placesā€¦ and still finding a corner somewhere to open my laptop, answer what needs answering, and keep things moving.

For me, balance doesnā€™t always mean separating work and life.

Sometimes it means building a life where both can exist together.

And seeing ā€œBuilding high tech for their higher purposeā€ behind me in this picture felt like a pretty good reminder:

Keep building. Keep living. And never forget the higher purpose behind it all. āœØ

For some people, currency is dollars, pesos, yen, rupees, gold, or silver.

But what happens when that currency isnā€™t motivation anymore?

What happens when more money doesnā€™t make someone want to stay, care more, or say yes?

Thatā€™s when you have to learn their currency.

Maybe their currency is Trust. Flexibility. Purpose.Loyalty. Respect. Or simplyā€¦ feeling valued.

Weā€™re so used to measuring someoneā€™s value with a number.But when money is no longer the motivator, the conversation has to change.

Instead of asking: ā€œWhat is this person worth?ā€

Maybe we should be asking: ā€œWhat does this person value?ā€

Because you can keep offering more of your currency without realizing it has no value to them.

Not everyone wants more. Some people want different.

They want to be trusted.
They want loyalty returned.
They want to know that their presence matters-not just their performance.

Because sometimes, the most valuable thing you can give someone has no dollar sign attached to it.

If you truly value someone, learn their currency.

Sometimes weā€™re so focused on whatā€™s next that we donā€™t stop to reflect on the experiences, people, challenges, and opportunities that helped shape us along the way. Being invited to do that through this feature was truly special.
