1. That feeling in your gut is a voice. Listen to it.
2. Strength to lead comes from conquering your weaknesses.
3. Being deliberate in your actions helps trust grow in yourself and others.
4. Our lives and decisions are never as important to others as they are to us.
5. People’s opinions are usually based on the perceptions created by their own experiences.
6. Pause. Breathe. Pause again. Then speak only facts.
7. Grief will eventually walk with each of us.
8. Loving unconditionally is a gift — but it also teaches the importance of boundaries.
9. If a child is brought into your life, you have a responsibility to be present, honest, and helpful.
10. Not every woman can pull off gray hair. If you can, consider yourself lucky.
11. If you are lucky enough to become a mentor, remember it’s a lifetime job.
12. Hypocrisy is weak and indecisive.
13. Over-explaining is often a lack of confidence.
14. Flossing really is important.
15. Timing in life is either a wave to ride or quicksand to run from. Learn the difference.
