Understanding motivation can promote improved performance for your team!
Consider the following motivators for creating an effective employee incentive program based on the DISC styles:
1) D-Wired individuals are motivated by freedom from routine and mundane tasks, new environments for work/play, and an opportunity to make decisions for new challenges.
2) I-Wired individuals are motivated by compliments, praise, a friendly environment, and freedom from rules and regulations (example: social recognition and awards).
3) S-Wired individuals are motivated by feeling secure, feeling that others depend on them, no sudden changes to lifestyle, and activities that, once started, can be finished (ex: professional development rewards).
4) C-Wired individuals are motivated by minimal social interaction, detailed tasks, and information-focused tasks (example: rewards program that is statistically calculated).
