Things have been moving at lightning speed lately, but I had to take a moment to celebrate this experience!

I recently had the opportunity to lead a Leadership Roundtable at the CDC, and what a great experience it was. The team was engaged, the conversations were meaningful, and we definitely had a great time!

I also had Yanoviah Murphy by my side supporting the experience and making sure everything ran smoothly. From helping with the preparation, managing the engagement with remote team members, making sure we all had what we needed throughout the session, her support helped me focus on what I love—facilitating meaningful conversations around leadership.

Last night, my heart was full of joy. ✨

The inaugural call between the Atlanta Black Chambers and the ICF Georgia Charter Chapter officially happened! We welcomed an incredible group of coaches who volunteered their time and expertise to provide one-on-one coaching to entrepreneurs in the Business Readiness Program.

Over the next several months, these entrepreneurs will get the space to strengthen their mindset, gain clarity, and explore new possibilities, while taking real, meaningful action toward their goals. This is what partnership and community look like in action.

Sometimes we’re quick to call someone a “toxic employee.”
But what if the bigger issue is that the behavior has gone unaddressed for too long?
A negative comment here.
A bad attitude in a meeting.
A pattern that everyone notices but no one talks about.
Over time, the impact gets bigger.
People stop speaking up.
Frustration builds.
Good employees begin to pull back.
This is where leadership matters.

You don’t have to label someone to hold them accountable. You do need to be willing to have the conversation.
Be clear about what you’re seeing.
Ask what’s going on.
Listen.
Then be honest about what needs to change.
Sometimes the real leadership question is:
What conversation have I been putting off?
Because what we avoid today can become a much bigger team problem tomorrow.
