A new chapter, in more ways than one.

We recently welcomed our son into the world; an arrival that has quietly reshaped everything in the most meaningful sense.

I’ve continued to work in a more measured way over recent weeks, focusing on a handful of projects that feel especially significant. One in particular— a kitchen renovation with a beautifully detailed butler’s pantry alongside a series of thoughtfully furnished and reimagined spaces— is just about to begin construction.

For now, I’m sharing a glimpse behind the scenes; drawings, finishes, and early decisions that set the tone for all that’s to come.

Both life and work, gently taking shape. Stay tuned for what’s ahead.

What better Christmas present than a rewarding project completed? This client came to me earlier this year with an impossibly long, awkward room that also had some ductwork in a very inconvenient location, both of which made this space a catch-all area. The dream was a walk-in closet attached to the primary bedroom, plus two additional bedrooms, all to be completed within the existing footprint of about 515sqft, but she wasn’t sure it could ever happen. Challenge accepted! I used the odd location of the ductwork to our advantage by enclosing it and creating a bank of drawers on top within the new closet. The closet was placed down the length of the room to take advantage of the space’s orientation. Then we created a new doorway off the hall into a queen bedroom, on the opposite side of the wall from the new primary closet. We also had enough space to juuuust fit a Twin bedroom with the sweetest bead board paneling, and an entry vestibule so that the linen closet is now accessible from the hallway. New paint schemes, molding, trim, hardware, and closet systems put the finishing touches on this project! It was so satisfying working with the most wonderful clients to make their home functional, cozy, and enjoyable!

One thing I will never, ever tire of is the way natural stones like alabaster add unmatched depth and richness to a room. No two are the same (for better or worse!) and that's part of the challenge, and the fun!

Feet aching. Camera roll full. Ideas flowing. Inspo churning. Fall Market 2025 was a giant success. Our favorite vendors pulled out all the stops, and new ones surprised with ultra unique designs. Onward!! After a nap, of course.

Yesterday was another install day for the Boone house project! I have loved putting this home together piece by piece. Nightstands, customs shades, travertine lamps, and best of all, an antique Tabriz rug from the 1940s that we converted to a tapestry to offer a unique focal point to the dining room. 😍 More custom window treatments and some gorgeous alabaster fixtures to come. But right now, I’m headed to High Point Market with my colleagues for more design inspo than you can shake a brass curtain rod at. Stay tuned for all the updates!

This wet bar was one of my absolute favorite things to design, and now that the low-iron glass shelves are in, I’m absolutely in love! What a treat to work with in bringing this to life!

A 95° day is not a bad time to escape to the mountains to put a few finishing touches on a client install! Some window cornices, a custom runner, and a cordless Visual Comfort lamp were just what it needed. Plus, as much as I love selecting new artwork for clients, I also like the challenge of working with their existing pieces and finding the perfect spot in their homes. Stay tuned for the custom bedding that will polish off this gorgeous Blue Ridge project!
