Highly trained Border Collies put a predator in your environment. They see color pattern and shape and it triggers a response inside of their head. Something that moves with it's head and tail down triggers the predator response in th

e birds. Because of this the birds will leave the areas that they feel the threat in.The use of Border Collies is the only method of goose control that is promoted by PETA and the Humane Society. It is safe for the dogs and the birds.

A goose problem can become an operational problem faster than you think.

This week, Dreamland Pool and Park in West Virginia was forced to close after a sudden increase in Canada geese left massive amounts of droppings around the property. Despite repeated cleaning and pressure washing, officials ultimately closed the park and drained the pool.

This is why proactive goose management matters.

By the time droppings are covering walkways, contaminating recreational areas, generating complaints, or interfering with normal operations, the cost of the problem is already much greater than simply having geese on the property.

Canada geese are creatures of habit. The earlier you consistently change their behavior and make a property undesirable to them, the easier it is to prevent a population from becoming established.

Don’t wait until the geese are running the property.

The City of Kenova says that more aggressive measures to remove the geese will begin immediately.

Before Problems Become Expensive

Most clients call us after:

• Complaints from residents
• Slippery sidewalks
• Damaged turf
• Dirty pool decks
• Aggressive nesting geese

The best time to begin management is before those issues develop.

Humane Doesn't Mean Ineffective

We never want to harm wildlife.

Our goal is simple:
✔ Encourage geese to relocate.
✔ Prevent nesting.
✔ Keep properties clean.
✔ Reduce conflicts between people and wildlife.

Long-term success comes from changing behavior—not harming birds.

Border Collies Were Born for This Job

Our dogs aren't pets chasing birds for fun.

They are highly trained working Border Collies using the same instincts that have been trusted by shepherds for hundreds of years.

To geese, they represent a predator.

To people, they're one of the safest and most humane management tools available.

Did You Know?

A single Canada goose can produce more than a pound of droppings every day.

Multiply that by a flock of 50 birds and you can quickly understand why sidewalks, entrances, athletic fields, and golf courses become unusable.

Preventing geese from settling is far easier than cleaning up after them.

Why Don't Geese Just Fly Away?

One of the biggest misconceptions about Canada geese is that they'll simply move on if you leave them alone.

The reality is that once geese identify a property as safe, they return again and again—often bringing more birds with them.

That's why successful goose management focuses on changing the birds' perception of the property rather than simply removing them once.

🐕 A well-trained Border Collie creates the consistent pressure needed to convince geese your property is no longer a safe place to stay.
