Decide what you want. Do you want to make money or do you want to sell books. Book sales (unless by an influencer) do not make money. Movements make money.

What do you KNOW that you can exchange for money. Your book is a KEY stop thinking about it as a pot of gold and consider it for what it is. By writing and publishing your book you have done something that many people only dream of.

I have NEVER paid for advertising for my books however, I have had several $5k months by using my book as the 'key' to the right 'doors'. People will pay $20/book - how many books do you have to sell to make $5K (especially after royalty fees). I don't sell books, I sell knowledge, inspiration, transformation. People can buy the book if they want to but that's not really what i'm selling.

Decide what you want to set the right goal. Also, bear in mind, if 'reach' is what you want (your message to be heard) realize that is a 'goal'. If you are not getting your books in anyone's hands then your message is not being heard.
