A potential client visits your law firm’s website.

They like what they see.
They trust your experience.
They’re interested in your services.

And then… they have to hunt around to figure out how to actually contact you.

That’s where too many law firm websites lose the lead.

Your call to action shouldn’t make someone think. Make the next step obvious:

→ Schedule a consultation
→ Request a case evaluation
→ Book a consultation

And make sure that option is easy to find throughout the website — not buried on one contact page.

Your website shouldn’t just explain what you do. It should guide potential clients toward what to do next.

The search happens before the referral conversation does.

Estate planning has always leaned on referrals — but "my parents are getting older and I should probably look into this" is a search, not a referral request.

If your website doesn't show up for that quiet, first-time search, you're invisible during the exact moment someone starts taking the decision seriously.

Your law firm is closed right now.

Your website isn't. 🌙

Someone is searching for an attorney at 11pm, after a conversation they didn't expect to have today. They find your site — and within 10 seconds, they either feel confident enough to reach out, or they leave and find someone else.

Most law firm websites weren't built for that moment. They were built to look good at launch, then left untouched for years.

A website that actually generates clients isn't just about design — it's clear messaging, trust signals, and making the next step effortless for someone in a stressful moment.

Not sure if yours is doing that job? That's exactly what a website audit tells you.

Settlement numbers matter.

But by the time someone's comparing firms online, most are also quietly asking: will this firm actually talk to me, or will I be a case file?

Your website answers that question before you ever pick up the phone — in how easy, or hard, you make it to reach a real person. 📲

Save this if your intake process could use a second look. 👇

A family law site can look warm and trustworthy and still lose the client — if a parent trying to figure out custody options can't tell within seconds whether that's even something the firm handles. Clarity beats warmth when someone's stressed and searching.

Warm branding isn't the problem. If visitors can't tell within 5 seconds whether you handle their exact situation, you're losing consultations before they ever call.

A cheap website isn't a starter — it's a liability with a URL. If it's slow, unclear, or hasn't been touched since it launched, it's not generating leads, it's quietly turning them away. A no-website firm at least knows it has a gap. A bad-website firm thinks the gap is filled.

A beautiful website that doesn't convert is just an expensive brochure.

I've seen too many businesses invest thousands in a website that looks incredible—but never asks visitors to take the next step.

Your website has one job: move someone closer to becoming a client.

Can they quickly understand what you do?
Can they find the information they're looking for?
Do they know exactly how to contact you?

Great design absolutely matters. It builds credibility and trust.
But design should support a goal—not exist for its own sake.

The best-performing websites balance both:
✓ Beautiful design
✓ Clear messaging
✓ Strategic calls to action
✓ A user experience that makes taking the next step easy

Pretty and effective aren't the same thing—but they don't have to compete.
If your website isn't generating inquiries, it may not have a design problem. It may have a strategy problem.

Something I stopped believing about marketing...

For a long time, I thought growth meant keeping up with every new platform, every algorithm update, and every marketing trend.

I don't believe that anymore.
The businesses I see succeed over the long term aren't the ones chasing every shiny object.

They're the ones showing up consistently.
Publishing helpful content.
Improving their website.
Answering the questions their clients are already asking.
Building trust one piece at a time.
Yes, marketing changes.
But consistency never goes out of style.
I'd rather build authority that lasts than attention that disappears in 24 hours.

What's one marketing trend you've decided to stop chasing?

Your contact page might be costing you clients.

Most law firm websites have a homepage, an About page, and pages explaining their services.

But the contact page?
It's often treated like an afterthought.

The problem is that by the time someone reaches your contact page, they've already decided they might want to hire you. Now they're looking for one final reason to feel confident before taking that next step.
A great contact page doesn't just ask for information.

It answers the questions people are quietly asking themselves:
• What happens after I submit this form?
• How soon will someone contact me?
• Is my information private?
• Did I come to the right place?
Removing uncertainty at this stage can make a real difference in how many inquiries your firm receives.

Sometimes improving conversions isn't about redesigning your entire website.
Sometimes it's about strengthening the page that matters most.

When was the last time you looked at your contact page through your client's eyes?

🚨 If your social media looks abandoned… people assume your business is too.

Harsh? Maybe.
Realistic? Absolutely.

When potential clients land on your page and see:
❌ your last post was 47 weeks ago
❌ outdated branding
❌ inconsistent content
❌ empty engagement
❌ random posting with no strategy

…they start questioning the business itself.

People naturally associate an active online presence with:
✔ professionalism
✔ credibility
✔ reliability
✔ relevance

Especially for attorneys and established service businesses where trust matters BEFORE someone ever calls you.

And no — you do NOT have to post every day like a lifestyle influencer filming coffee foam at sunrise. 😭

But your online presence should at least show signs of life.

Because clients are checking:
👀 your website
👀 your reviews
👀 your social media
👀 how current your business feels

A neglected social presence quietly creates doubt.

An active, polished one builds confidence before the consultation even happens.

💬 Be honest: what’s the first thing you think when you land on a business page that hasn’t posted in over a year?
