One of the biggest reasons parents hesitate to book an in-home newborn session?

“Our house isn’t photo worthy.”

Truth is, I’m not looking for a perfectly decorated home. I don’t need beautiful natural light pouring through every window. Most of the time, all we need are one or two spots with soft window light and I’ll take care of the rest. Because this isn’t about your house. It’s about the life being lived inside of it. It’s about documenting this season exactly as it is.

Years from now, these photos won’t remind you of what your home looked like. They’ll remind you of what it felt like. The home that welcomed your baby. The room where you rocked them to sleep. The ordinary moments that somehow became your favorite memories. The start of your family’s next chapter. And that is a story worth preserving.

Sometimes life writes a different timeline than the one we imagined.

If you missed professionally documenting those first few weeks, that’s okay. Every season of your baby’s story holds something worth remembering. Tiny fingers become curious hands. Sleepy snuggles become bright-eyed smiles. And those little personalities start to peek through in the sweetest ways.

This sweet boy may have been a little older than the “traditional” newborn stage, but what we captured was just as meaningful - his growing curiosity, his connection with his parents, and the joy that’s beginning to shine through in every expression.

There is no expiration date on documenting your family’s story. The most important thing isn’t when the photos are taken…it’s that you have them. And these moments are so worth holding onto. 🤍
