Mood: Refreshed.

Having the time to do more of the things that fuel my body such as journaling, resting, working out, making smoothies, spending time with God, and connecting with friends or family has kept me feeling refreshed. It’s been cool creating new experiences from inside the house.

What’s one positive feeling you’ve experienced during this time so far?

Since day 1 of Covid-19, we have all been impacted differently. While continuously waiting for this pandemic to be over, I pray we all at least receive some REST before life goes back to normal.💫

While continuing to celebrate International Women’s Day, this picture was taken at the National Council of Negro Women Inc Harambe Luncheon last month. It was an honor to sit in the vision of (Mary McLeod Bethune’s) legacy. While there, I had the chance to connect, participate as a vendor, and celebrate other phenomenal women who continuously strive to impact their communities daily through service and leadership. It’s truly a great feeling to know, grow and be inspired by so many women. So cheers to celebrating women not one day, but EVERYDAY!🎊💕

REPOST from yesterday: Since we got an extended day due to (leap year), I want to acknowledge various African American pioneers that I’ve been reading about this month who are not mentioned too often. Each one of their stories and the impact they created within their career, business or as an entrepreneur has definitely been inspiring.
Swipe right ➡️to see who they are and check out the deets below to learn more about their impact.

1. Marie Van Brittan Brown- created the first modern in- home security system that was patented in 1966.
2. Dr. Shirley Jackson- helped invent the technologies known as fiber optics cables, fax machines and caller ID. Also she is the first african american woman to receive a PhD in physics/doctorate in any subject from MIT.
3. Alexander Miles- Invented a system for elevator doors to open and close automatically. He also founded the United Brotherhood, a life insurance company catering to the African American population.
4. Jane Bolin- was the first black woman to attend Yale Law School. She was also the first black female judge in the US serving for 10 years.

Although it’s the end of the month, I still want to acknowledge various African American pioneers who are not mentioned often such as other black leaders. Each one of their stories and the impact they created within their career, business or as an entrepreneur has definitely been inspiring.

Anybody any in need of a vacay yet?🙋🏾‍♀️
I’ve been reminiscing about my short trip to the mountains from two weeks ago. Honestly, visiting the mountains is absolutely one of my favorite places on earth. This trip was definitely a great escape to re-invigorate myself, enjoy beautiful views, and spend quality time with my love💚.

Sometimes we just need to get away from the everyday life routine by traveling, going to a new space or doing something different. New spaces or sceneries always help me to show up better when feeling overwhelmed or exhausted.

What is something you like to do or a space you enjoy when feeling overwhelmed? Looking for more tips⬇️

Reap7 is finally back! Although the new year started, it was necessary for me extend my season of recharge.💆🏾‍♀️

In the meantime, I’ve still been taking time out to:
Reflect- On last year and other areas in my life that need attention
Rest- My body 💤
Read- Started “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene’ Brown with friends 📖
Renew- My mindset (to start the new decade off with fresh perspectives) 🧠
AND
Re-prioritize- My focus and goals 📝

Before RE-committing to anything! So if you have not started on anything yet don’t feel bad because you’re not alone...We have time!

What are some of your WINS for 2019?💫
While reflecting throughout the past month, I’ve been trying to think about my wins for the year rather than allowing negative thoughts to creep in of what was not accomplished. Although it was hard, I decided not to entertain the negative thoughts because this year has been filled with so many unexpected wins for me to feel unsatisfied😊.

For instance, I had only planned to have a “Reap word of the week” as starter content and a service product for Reap7, but the following things manifested too:📝
Weekly Reap7 newsletters
Positive Thoughts challenges
Monthly Mixer events
Launched The Freedom Journal
AND
Obtained the BEST people connections

Share your WINS⬇️

While reflecting throughout the past month about my overall year, I’ve been trying to think about my wins rather than allowing negative thoughts to creep in about what was not accomplished. Although it was hard, I decided not to entertain those thoughts because this year has been filled with so much progression for me to feel unsatisfied.

Yesterday, marked the one year anniversary of Reap7!🎊 It’s been so surreal to watch a vision that I had for years finally turn into reality.

The WHY behind Reap7 was to help people increase self-awareness and productivity habits to achieve business or job related goals. However, so much more has transpired.💫

Here are few of my POWER words that allowed Reap7 to reach the one year:📝

1.Commitment: Treated tasks and goals for Reap7 like a relationship.
2.Accountability- I had a small group of mentors, coaches and likeminded individuals in my circle to keep pushing me forward.
3.Focus- I focused on completing one goal at a time, although there were several written down that I wanted to finish. (laughing emoji)
4.Intentional-Wrote down goals, prioritized my schedule, and kept taking action even if it was only baby steps.
5.Reset- Recognized the power of taking breaks and relaxing, especially when feeling overwhelmed or exhausted from doing too much.🎊

Overall, I appreciate all of the support, assistance and kinds words from those of you who have been following along on this journey. Stay tuned, more REAPIN’ is on the way in 2020!

As I still reflect on the past year for Reap7 and prioritize goals for 2020, all I can say is this one year journey has been filled with many experiences, good times, trial and errors. Moral perseverance.
