This gown came to my studio to replace the horsehair braid along the hem.

Horsehair braid is a structural trim that helps the skirt hold its shape, creates a soft, elegant wave, and allows the garment to move beautifully. When done incorrectly, the hem can lose its shape, appear uneven, or fall flat.

Replacing it properly takes precision, patience, and experience, especially with full skirts, layered fabrics, and delicate materials.

This is what gives a garment a clean, polished, high-end finish.

Some of you have been following my work for many years, from children’s clothing collections and custom pieces created in Ukraine to everything I do today here in North Carolina.

Over the years, I’ve gained even more experience, skills, and confidence in my craft, but one thing has never changed: my love for fabric, garment construction, fit, and the process of creating things by hand.

In Ukraine, I learned sewing and garment construction through high production standards and careful attention to technique, and I continue to bring that same approach into every piece I work on today.

Along with custom children’s clothing, I now also offer:
• bridal and formal alterations
• custom dressmaking and tailoring
• embroidery and sewing projects for women and families

I’m excited to continue growing this new chapter here in North Carolina, and I’m truly grateful to everyone who has supported my work through the years.
