🚀✨ What an electrifying kickoff to my 2026 Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) journey!

On September 15, I stepped onto the beautiful WashU campus and into a room filled with powerful minds, fascinating entrepreneurs, inspiring professionals, and BIG ideas! 💡🔥

I LOVE being in spaces that challenge me, expand my thinking, and connect me with people who are building, leading, and growing.

I’m excited for this next chapter—learning, connecting, scaling, and leveling up! 📈🎓

New room. New connections. New knowledge. New level. 🚀✨

✨ What a fun evening of learning, connection, and meaningful conversation!

A huge thank you to Tracy Verner and Alltru Credit Union for sponsoring this FREE experience for our HR community—and for creating such a welcoming space complete with drinks, appetizers, and plenty of opportunities to connect.

I’m grateful for organizations like Alltru that recognize the value of investing in our professional community and creating spaces where HR leaders and professionals can learn, share, and grow together.

A special thank you to Leslie T. Tolliver, JD, SHRM-CP of The Phoenix Group for partnering with me as we explored DiSC, neurodiversity, and the power of curiosity in strengthening workplace communication.

One of my biggest takeaways? Curiosity creates connection. When we take the time to understand how others think, communicate, and experience the workplace, we create opportunities for greater understanding and more inclusive teams.

I loved seeing so many HR colleagues come together to learn, laugh, exchange ideas, and build relationships. ❤️

Here’s to creating more spaces where our HR community can connect and grow!🌱

SHRM of Greater St. Louis the hand stand took the cake for me!

The excitement in the breakfast meeting this morning was one for the books!

Today’s topic was “Critical Thinking in the Age of AI” today with Kevin Mabie, Ed.D. of Dale Carnegie of Missouri! 🧠🤖✨

As HR and people leaders, we have an incredible opportunity to leverage AI to work smarter, move faster, and make better decisions—but AI should enhance human judgment, not replace it.

I especially appreciate hearing how we can still use AI strategically, responsibly, and thoughtfully, while keeping critical thinking, accountability, and the human element at the center of our decisions.✨

AI can provide the answer. The real leadership skill is knowing whether it’s the RIGHT answer.

Ready to learn, engage, and have some great conversations! Let’s go! 🚀

✨What an incredible way to start the day! ✨

I had the privilege of helping our future leaders sharpen their interview skills through the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Youth Program at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. Hearing one student passionately share their dream of becoming an entrepreneur and plant horticulturalist absolutely made my day! 🌱💚

I walked away inspired by this remarkable group of young people. Their confidence, ambition, and vision for the future remind us that the next generation is ready to lead. Investing in our youth today is how we cultivate stronger communities tomorrow, and I’m honored to play a small part in their journey.

I absolutely love this community! 💚

As a lifelong learner, I always leave the SHRM of Greater St. Louis Breakfast Meeting feeling inspired. Today’s message was a powerful reminder that great leadership begins with knowing yourself so you can effectively lead yourself.

When we lead with self-awareness, communicate with purpose, and build trust, we create the influence that inspires others to grow and succeed.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and continue growing alongside such an incredible community of HR professionals!
