DOT inspections don't have to be stressful , if you're prepared.
Whether it's a roadside check or a scheduled audit, having your documents, equipment, and records in order is the difference between passing clean and getting hit with fines, delays, or an out-of-service order.

One scratch on a $300K car can cost you your reputation and your profit.
When you're hauling luxury and exotic vehicles, the margin for error is zero.

Here are 3 rules every enclosed carrier should follow.

Tip 1 — Use soft tie-down straps. Never chains or metal hooks directly on a luxury vehicle. Soft nylon wheel straps with flat hooks protect rims, tires, and body panels. Invest in axle straps rated for the vehicle's weight.

Tip 2 — Protect every contact point. Anywhere a strap, ramp, or surface touches the vehicle is a potential damage point. Use protective pads, edge guards, and wheel bonnets. Cover ramp edges with rubber matting for low-clearance vehicles.

Tip 3 — Secure on a flat, stable surface. Loading on uneven ground creates uneven strap tension and movement during transit. Always load on level ground and check strap tension after the first 50 miles and at every stop.
