How I Learned to Articulate My Ideas and Convert New Leads with My Brand Story

As an entrepreneur and creative professional over the past six years with no college degree or corporate experience, I had to learn the value of controlling my own narrative; letting my voice be heard. I had a strong desire to boost my sales and engagement, and I needed to optimize my story to speak the language I knew my consumers would understand and take value from. I wanted to avoid missing opportunities to convert new leads with content and verbiage that did not yield results.

It got to a point where I got tired of organizing and producing content that wasn’t converting. I recognized quickly that high quality and beautiful content alone wasn't enough to yield results. So, I built a framework with a call to action that helped me communicate my experience to my consumers while focusing on the desired transformation I wanted to gain from identifying pain points and aligning my core values.

I had to change my mindset, from a freelancer to a boss, to build a more interactive business with longevity. I used this framework to develop my message and identify with my future based cause before creating content I wanted my consumers to engage in. I started thinking of the perceived value of my business and how it would impact my consumers point of view. I decided I would no longer take on anything or start something without an end goal in mind.

This guidebook, the 6-step framework to controlling your narrative, has given me back command of my voice and innovated my approach to creating content. No longer do I feel the overbearing pressure to force feed content that doesn’t align with my core values or intended objective. I used this framework with no college degree, no corporate experience, to develop my voice and start speaking the language that inspires my consumers to act.

My mission and my purpose, I feel is to convince you that if I can do it, so can you! So be proud and remain proud. Be grateful and remain grateful. Always remember that it is okay to forgive yourself and keep learning.

Here's a published project highlighting the fashion retail company Rent The Runway on a New York based magazine called . This production stars the young and talented model Aliana Sowiak.

I styled this model in BLACKHALO LIMITED's red Bjorn blazer and Jory pants, with a Tory Burch Moose Perry satchel, and Farrow shades. The estimated value for this complete look is about $1,900 before taxes.

Rent The Runway gave me an idea to create this project with a starting membership of $69/month! Innovatively changing the way women create their wardrobes today.

With a small production crew I organized, I was able to style, creative direct, photograph and submit this look successfully. From start to finish, this project process only took 3 weeks!!
