Happy Juneteenth Black people, Moorish people, Aboriginal people, Indigenous people, African American people, descendants of the most brilliant and resilient people to walk this Earth.

Whatever you identify as today you should take a moment to recognize that this is your Independence Day.

The last of our ancestors were freed 155 years ago today. One hundred and fifty-five years is too close for comfort.

Start your celebrations today and continue them until the 4th if you must. Celebrate how far we have come and reflect on how far we have to go.
